Orson Welles: Porn Editor

3amShowerVulture recently reported that, according to Josh Karp’s new book, Orson Welles’s Last Movie: The Making of The Other Side of the Wind, the director worked on at least one occasion as an editor of a porn film.

The movie is called 3 A.M. (or 3 A.M.: The Time of Sexuality). It was directed by Gary Graver (as Robert McCallum), Welles’ cinematographer on The Other Side of the Wind, and stars Georgina Spelvin (the star of the 1973 classic The Devil and Miss Jones).  Welles reportedly helped with 3 A.M. in order to get Graver back to working for him on The Other Side of the Wind—as his adult film work was reportedly making him the money he was not getting from Welles.

How does it compare to Orson Welles’ more mainstream work? See for yourself.
